The Cumberland County Board of Commissioners again has said no to pursuing a chicken processing plant that would have brought about 1,000 jobs to the area. Multiple media outlets reported commissioners voted 4-3 Monday against a public hearing necessary to consider a $2.5 million incentive package for Sanderson Farms.

Security Supervisors Sue Palisades Plant Owner For Overtime

Some security supervisors are suing the owner of Palisades Nuclear Plant in southwestern Michigan, saying they're owed overtime pay. Reportedly 18 current and former supervisors filed the federal lawsuit in Grand Rapids after a jury in Vermont last year found that Entergy owes several Vermont Yankee nuclear plant security specialists more than 5,000 hours of overtime pay.
