Travelers could see changes in flights at Dallas Love Field depending on whether a federal judge in Dallas agrees this week to let Delta Air Lines keep flying there - at least for a while. A decision also would affect Dallas-based Southwest Airlines, the dominant carrier at the city-owned airport that is letting Delta use one of its gates there.

Unless U.S. District Judge Ed Kinkeade sides with the Department of Transportation before week's end, attorneys representing the city of Dallas, Delta Air Lines, Southwest Airlines and the feds will meet in a Dallas federal courtroom next week to decide - for now, at least - Delta's future at Love Field. A preliminary injunction hearing has been on the books since early August in this complex, increasingly contentious battle over two of the 20 gates at the city-owned airport that Southwest controls and Delta wants to continue using.
