RHEA is currently recruiting a Network and Security Engineer for our client based in Frascati, Italy. Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include Support the management of the MultiMission Network, Security, Data Dissemination and processing infrastructure service provision, Management of the Network, Security and Data Dissemination service performance, in liaison with the Service Provider Provision of cost estimation for new implementations or financial monitor for running services Monitoring of the service providers HW SW maintenance in order to maintain an adequate level of service. Report on progress and results, reviewing the monthly report provided by the Service Provider Manage priorities in liaison with EOPG Interface with the Service Providers service managers when required for priority handling Guide the Change Management to the Service as member of the Change Control Board Ensure alignment of the technical documentation with the existing infrastructure Review Evolution proposal to ensure coherence with existing services Follow up capacity planning issues Follow up Security issues Manage the internal infrastructure evolutions activity according to the EOPG needs Elaboration and review of the EOP User Needs, preparation of requirements, risk analysis, and support the implementation during the different activity phases Support the migration to a Multimission architecture WAN, LAN, Dissemination, processing, in compliance with the agreed Mission and System requirements, including security issues, and considering the internal and external interfaces Evaluation and preparation of the NetworkSecurity design and ImplementationOperations plan including details of the different phases Skills and Experience The following skills and experience are mandatory University degree or equivalent qualification in Electronics or Telecommunication Engineering with experience in Operational services Fluent English language oral and written Autonomy in writing technical notes, specifications and reports in English Good interpersonal skills and team spirit Previous working experience in a multinational environment is desirable Very good knowledge of MS Office tools Good understanding of IP networks and services e.g., email, DNS, NTP, and have familiarity with the latest generation of Network, Security, Data handling and processing methodologies. Following certifications together with a general knowledge on EO missions are welcome Service Management e.g., ITIL Project Management e.g., Prince2, PMP Security e.g., ISO27001, CISSP Cisco e.g., CCNA, CCNP Check Point e.g., CCSA, CCSE. This is an unlimited position fully on our ESA customer site in ESTECNoordwijk, the Netherlands. Starting date is May 2015 and submission deadline for applicants will be the 6th April 2015. RESPONSIBILITIESDUTIES In the context of the ISS Exploitation programme, ESA has setup the ERASMUS Support Facility ESF which includes support capabilities to operations MSO, ERA, GS operations coordination room, Public Relations interface and the security infrastructure PKI, Secured DMS, etc.. Under the supervision of the Head of the Columbus Ground Segment Maintenance and Operations Section, the successful candidate will be required to fulfil the following tasks Maintenance and troubleshooting of ESF capabilities, in relation with relevant external procurements organizations. The improvement of the level of service is one of the goals of this task. In the context of the MPCC ground node and Class3 payloads network based on the internet protocol, the successful candidate shall, in relation with the relevant industrial contractors, plan, coordinate and validate the necessary ground implementations between ground users and the onboard LAN The successful candidate shall coordinate security implementations, audits and risk assessments in relation with the Security Control Board. In this capacity, the successful candidate shall participate to the ESA Security Control board SCB and other boards when relevant. The successful candidate shall produce and update at regular intervals an ESF CIDL. Heshe shall also produce an evolution plan and relevant ECRs to adapt and ensure continuity and availability of the ESF The successful candidate will conduct necessary validation tests and issue ESF validation reports. The successful candidate shall be responsible for definition IP addressing schemes and IP stack configuration definitions for users of Class3 PLs ground and board. The successful candidate shall produce validations plans and validation reports for the Class3 PL users ground implementations. QUALIFICATIONSEXPERIENCE University or similar degree in engineering discipline ESSENTIAL SKILLS Background in ground segment engineering and AIV IT security knowledge, in particular with vulnerability and incident assessments Fluency in English, both in speech and writing Ability to work in a multicultural team but also independently and in a proactive manner Ability to work with various international and industrial actors Practical experience in IP networking, if possible with a CISCO certification DESIRABLE SKILLS Familiarity with the ISS programmatic environment The ability to multitask efficiently BENEFITS Competitive salary plus a comprehensive benefits package including 30 days holiday and generous training possibilities.
