In the wake of yesterday's announcement that Andy Rubin is stepping aside from leading Android, Google appears to be continuing some spring cleaning. The company confirmed in an email to Computerworld today that Jeff Huber, Google's head of mapping and commerce, is also leaving his post.

Reports surfaced yesterday that ad-blocking apps on the Google Play store were being taken down because they violate Google's Developer Distribution Agreement. Being as Google makes most of its money from advertising, it's no surprise that it wants to snuff out as much ad-blocking as possible.

Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and Apple iTunes were the most vulnerable among popular software programs in 2012 according to the newly released 2013 Secunia Vulnerability Review (PDF). That may come as a surprise to anyone who accuses Microsoft of rolling out the most insecure software on the market, but then again, they can point to the fact that 29 of the top 50 most vulnerable programs for 2013 bore the Microsoft logo.
