For our activities in ESRIN, we are currently looking for a Mission Planner to work for Aeolus mission. Package description Full details on application The position is a permanent contract. Main responsibilities The main activities will include Planning preparation activities Monitoring the availability of input data for planning preparation Executing the generation of input data for planning, monitoring the correctness of outputs and circulating data to destination Circulating input data for planning to FOS team Generation and Provision of specific PDGS monitoring information, and reporting to ESA. Systematic XBand Station Downlink Planning and delivery to XBand station provider Monitoring the availability of input data for downlink planning activities Executing the generation of downlink plans, monitoring the correctness of outputs and circulating planning files systematically to Xband station provider Circulating planning files to Xband station provider Generation and Delivery of operational reporting Systematic Generation of Payload Operation Plans and Delivery to FOS Monitoring the availability of input data for planning activities Executing the generation of plans, monitoring the correctness of outputs Circulating planning files systematically to FOS team Generation and Provision of specific PDGS monitoring information, and reporting to ESA. Data Flow Monitoring and Data Archival Management Execute and Monitor the data ingestion and archival into the MMPF archive Archive operations Deletion or extraction of data from the MMPF archive Generation and Delivery of operational reporting. End to end mission planning verification. Support to validation activities and TTO planning. Ideal candidate University degree or equivalent qualification in a technical discipline, preferably in Earth Observation or Computer Science Experience on Payload Data Ground segment architecture andor operations Capacity to acquire in depth technical understanding and knowledge of PDGS systems overall architecture, data flows, interfaces, dependencies in a limited time Experience with configuration management, change control and release management Proactiveness , good communication skills, team player Experienceknowledge on mission planning systems EO Sensor Instrument knowledge Basic knowledge of the Aeolus instrument ALADIN operational modes, parameters and constraints is an asset Capacity to generate good documentation Fluent in English. Planner Scheduler

For Sercos activities in the European Space Agency Darmstadt, Germany, we are currently seeking to employ a highly motivated and enthusiastic Planner Scheduler to work in an exciting innovative international environment. The role will be part of a newly established Network Operations Centre NOC tasked with coordinating, configuring and monitoring activities related to the ESA ground segment, specifically the Telemetry, Tracking and Command TTC stations of the ESTRACK ground station network. The NOC is responsible for providing 1st and 2nd line support to the ESA space missions and its users. It provides Ground Operations, Operational IT and Operational Control Centre services and acts as single point of contact for realtime service requests from ESTRACK customers. The planning team is responsible for the schedule of all operational activities including ground station usage and other activities affecting operations at ESOC. Main Responsibilities The main tasks of the PlannerScheduler will be Routine planning and automation Replanning Load capacity analysis Compile support requirements Manage support requests to third parties Realtime scheduling changes Maintain planning procedures and documentation Maintain planning tool configuration and support the evolution and deployment of new versions Maintain the scheduling website Setup and run load analysis Reporting Incident handling Support of LEOP launch and early orbit activities Support the management of the operational services. The Ideal Candidate Applicants require a University or similar degree in engineering or similar applicable discipline or related extensive work experience. You will require good professional experience in endtoend ground station systems required for spacecraft operations. You will possess the following qualities Solid experience with planning and scheduling multiuser, multipurpose, shared ground resources Solid experience in endtoend ground station systems for spacecraft operations Fluent in English, both in speech and writing Selfstarter, able to work independently with little or no supervision Teamplayer, able to interface with technical and management personnel and to maintain a critical service as a member of a small team Wellorganised, able to prioritise and manage several tasks in parallel Able to work on shifts occasionally Solid IT knowledge, including Linux, networking concepts and common tools and software applications Service mentality and solid understanding of a KPI driven service environment PC literacy MS Office Products, Lotus Notes.
