(Telecompaper) Helios Investment Partners, the new majority shareholders of Orange Kenya has appointed former Orascom executive Aldo Mareuse as CEO of the company, Business Daily reported. Mareuse, an engineer by profession and former chief finance officer (CFO) of Orascom Telecom Media and Technology Holding, takes over from Vincent Lobry, who has served since September 2014. John Barorot, the former Safaricom chief technical officer (CTO), has been appointed chief technical and information officer (CTIO), replacing Jean Marie Garcia.

UnitedHealth Group Inc.'s acquisition of workers compensation pharmacy benefit manager Helios will help the health insurer grow by expanding its offerings in the pharmaceutical space, an analyst says. Sarah James, a health care equity research analyst at Wedbush Securities Inc. in Los Angeles, said Wednesday that the Helios purchase could help OptumRx and UnitedHealth tap growth in the workers comp sector.

(Telecompaper) The Orange Group announced that it has signed a binding agreement with Helios Investment Partners for the sale of its entire 70 percent stake in Orange Kenya. Orange said the completion of the transaction remains subject to approval from the relevant authorities. The deal reflects Orange's constant focus on optimising its portfolio of assets, and the Africa and Middle East region remains a strategic priority for the group. Orange Kenya is the country's incumbent fixed line operator and the third player in the mobile market. The company had 4 million mobile customers at the end of June, according to figures published by the regulator.
