Your Profile The successful candidate should have the following qualifications and experience Masters Degree in Engineering or Physics At least 4 years of relevant work experience in the physics andor engineering of microwave interaction with natural environment Experience with microwave remote sensing observation concepts, ideally with experience with the performance assessment and the endtoend simulation of atmospheric remote sensing instruments Experience with microwave atmosphere propagation models Good programming skills Previous experience with experimental instruments e.g. ground microwave radiometers is considered an asset Ideally also experience in the development and validation of retrieval algorithms for atmospheric remote sensing Fluent in English knowledge of another ESA memberstate language is an asset. The general responsibilities of the service will be technical support in the area of GNSS signal propagation and associated SBAS algorithms design, in particular for those effects linked the signal crossing the Earths atmospheric layers i.e. ionosphere and troposphere and those related the local reception environment e.g. multipath and interference. SBAS processing algorithms designed at SBAS level to provide satellites orbits and clock corrections, ionosphere delay corrections and their associated integrity confidence information.
