Organized by SPE Composites Division, 15th Automotive Composites Conference and Exhibition (ACCE) spoke to auto industry's growing interest in composite materials. Three simultaneous tracks – nanocomposites, carbon fiber, natural fiber composites – over as many days provided attendees with technical learning opportunities emphasizing ways to improve parts and production speeds while reducing costs. Also, technical session was dedicated to additive manufacturing and 3D printing.

SPE Announces Winners of thermoforming parts competition.

Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE) announced winners of SPE Thermoforming Division annual parts competition during Thermoforming Division's annual conference. There were 20 categories, in addition to student parts competition, and Peoples’ Choice competition resulted in tie. Upon noting that there were 30+ parts submitted this year, 2015 Parts Competition Chair Matt O’Hagan said "SPE Thermoforming Division is extremely pleased with the quality and quantity of the submissions."
