In addition, knowledge and experience of the following is mandatory Engineering lifecycle aspect e.g. requirements definition, design, development, integration, verification and validation Service based approach for defining system specifications Tool based requirements management e.g. IBM DOORs Definition and formalization of interfaces between complex systems Portal technologies, web application server and web security concepts Hierarchical Storage Management Systems and Architectures i.e. SAMFS QFS Storage Concepts and Archiving Technologies NAS, SAN, Robotic Tape Libraries Formalised Software Testing Configuration Control Database Experience Schema design. The variety of the tasks and the scope of the systems to be supported require a high degree of autonomy and good analytical skills. The official languages of EUMETSAT are English and French. The working language for the position is English and therefore you must be able to work effectively in this language and have knowledge of the other.
