Tasks The primary areas of responsibility for this position are Optical Ground Station Definition of requirements Development and procurement Validation and deployment Other areas of expertise, which would be a distinct advantage, include RF subsystems used in the ground station environment Frequency and timing subsystems atomic and optical clocks Support integration and deployment of new ground station equipment Engineering support to integration, testing, maintenance and operations of ground station Qualifications and Requirements Applicants require a degree in Physics or OpticalElectroOptical Engineering. Essential Opticaltelescope system design and modelling Optical characterisation . Candidates must be University qualified to at least first degree level and with at least 5 years professional experience in relevant to the areas of expertise listed below. Ground station system design for TTC and payload operations Ground station tracking antennas and RF subsystems LEO and GEO applications Ground station baseband subsystems including modulationdemodulation and coding.
