Teamsters back out of second FedEx Freight union vote

For the second time in less than three weeks, the Teamsters union has withdrawn a petition for a unionization vote at a FedEx Freight facility. Teamsters on Wednesday pulled the petition for the vote at FedEx's South Newark, N.J. service center after losing a vote elsewhere in the state earlier this month .

Silverware maker brings manufacturing back from Mexico, more than doubles CNY workforce

Sherrill Manufacturing Inc., the silverware maker that took over the Oneida Ltd. factory after its closing nine years ago, has moved all of its manufacturing back from Mexico and more than doubled its workforce in this tiny Oneida County city. Company CEO Gregory Owens said the company employs 42 people at the former Oneida silverware factory - 38 full-time employees and four permanent part-time workers.

AT&T Pulls Back on Fiber to 100 U.S. Cities Over Net Neutrality Fight

While the FCC, President Obama and other officials figure out what net neutrality road to take, AT&T says it will stop spending on fiber network installs in 100 U.S. cities until the rules are set. AT&T, which announced in April that it would begin expanding its latest high-speed fiber networks to 100 U.S. cities, now says that recent government indecision over net neutrality has caused the company to suspend its fiber projects and spending until the net neutrality rules are decided.
