International Paper to transition Riegelwood mill production, will result in fewer jobs

International Paper announced Tuesday that it plans to expand fluff pulp production at its Riegelwood mill, but the expansion will cost the plant jobs. According to a news release, International Paper will invest $135 million in the plant to transition to 100 percent fluff and softwood pulp production, adding an additional 400,000 tons of capacity.

CDC: 11M fewer uninsured since passage of Obamacare

A couple of government reports say the number of uninsured U.S. residents fell by more than 11 million since President Barack Obama signed the health care overhaul five years ago. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention say that still would leave about 37 million people uninsured.
