Scientists are evaluating the environmental impact of nearly 30 million gallons of treated wastewater that spilled into the Gallatin River, posing no threat to human health. The Bozeman Daily Chronicle reports Department of Environmental Quality engineers found evidence the spill was caused by ice that built up and dislodged a pipe.

NAM released findings from latest Manufacturers’ Outlook Survey, which also polled members on topics that the TSCA reform will address. Top problems included ineffective/duplicative regulations (46.2%), reporting and paperwork burdens (46.2%), and conflicting state regulations (38.1%). Some manufacturers were hopeful that proposed reforms could meaningfully address misinformation about products (32.0%), consumer confusion about chemicals (30.8%), and potential supply chain disruptions (17.2%).

Microsoft on Tuesday announced plans to release a version of SQL Server 2016 for Linux. "Bringing SQL Server to Linux is another way we are making our products and new innovations more accessible to a broader set of users," said Microsoft's Scott Guthrie. SQL Server will be able to deliver a consistent data platform across Windows Server and Linux, in the cloud and on-premises.
