This is an ideal position for a young IT engineer to gain practical experience within the space sector and first experience as Ground Controller within the ISS project. ResponsibilitiesDuties Development testing, configuration control and administration of various virtual data processing systems within the ISS ground segment, incl. data protection and mission control systems as well as network and firewall interfaces Compilation of test plans, procedures and reports for operational interfaces Development and implementation of a central data protection system for mission data Conceptual design, implementation and testing of virtual clientserver systems for mission networks in line with existing IT security regulations and in collaboration with external partners Troubleshootingfailure analysis and failure recovery within clientserver environments and virtual networks Support service for intranet PCs and workstations according to a suitable Change Management ITIL Provision of project documentation incl. configuration control and documentation management Onconsole mission support as certified ground controllerdata command engineer campaign mode QualificationsExperience A relevant university degree in Information Technology or equivalent Working experience in the administration of Debian, SuseLinux and WindowsServer systems incl.
