Samsung and Mozilla join forces to develop next-generation Android web browser

Mozilla and Samsung have announced that they are collaborating on a next-generation web browser layout engine. The engine, called Servo, has actually been under active development for the last few months, but until now it had only been viewed as an experimental testbed: Now, with Samsung's involvement, it seems that Servo might find its way to the Korean chaebol's Android-powered Galaxy smartphones, pushing out Google's own WebKit-based Chrome browser.
