The State Water Resources Control Board has announced that senior water right holders in Californias Sacramento, San Joaquin and delta watersheds wont be allowed to pump water for agricultural use anymore, because of the drought. Agence France-Presse: Ethiopia has set targets to slash carbon emissions by two-thirds within the next 15 years, the most ambitious goal so far presented to an upcoming UN climate change conference in Paris. Ryanair to contest CMA order to cut its stake in Aer Lingus

Dublin-based budget airline Ryanair has vowed to fight a ruling by the UK's competition authority that it must slash its stake in Irish rival Aer Lingus -The Competition and Markets Authority today issued a "final order" to the no-frills carrier to slash its 29.8% stake in Aer Lingus to just 5%. The CMA claims the holding is anti-competitive and allows Ryanair to "hold sway" over the future of Aer Lingus, which is currently the subject of a 1.4billion euro takeover approach by British Airways parent group International Airlines Group .
