You won't believe which environment group the Australian government has de-funded now
2013-12-19 09:30:00| Climate Ark Climate Change & Global Warming Newsfeed
Guardian: Stay with me on this one. The joke started something like this: a cockatoo, a potoroo, a skink and a brown tree frog go into a bar... Unfortunately, this isn't' a very funny joke, because the Glossy Black Cockatoo, the Long-nosed Potoroo, the Eastern She-oak Skink and the Large Brown Tree Frog are all threatened species. The Glossy Black is a fussy eater, a bit like a vegan hipster. It only feeds on the seeds in cones of she-oaks, and even then, only from selected individual trees. Like...

Emissions reductions from power plants fell, accelerating to an annual drop of 6.3 per cent - or cutting 12.2 million tonnes - from a 6.1 per...

Australian State Outlaws Non-Consensual Sexting
2013-12-12 20:46:22| TechNewsWorld
The Australian state of Victoria has made it illegal to distribute explicit images without consent. The new law specifically outlaws "non-consensual sexting," which generally takes place when lovers split and there is post-breakup payback in the form of intimate photos of the former partners. The law does exempt children in order to ensure that they aren't charged with child pornography.
