On-Cell Touch (OCT) technology applies insulation between electrode patterns directly to top layer of LCD. This eliminates separate touch panel, reduces display thickness, eliminates interior optical reflections, and improves visibility/brightness/intensity/viewing-angle. Touch controller is part of display's PCB, housed within LCD's shielded metal case.
