U.S. EPA issued updates to its April 2012 oil and natural gas standards for storage tanks, which allow responsible oil and natural gas production while ensuring air emissions are reduced as quickly as possible. Updates will phase in emission control deadlines, starting with high-emitting tanks first, and will provide time needed to ramp up production and installation of controls. ASTM Homeland Security Committee Developing Body Armor Standards

ASTM International is launching initiative to develop standards for body armor worn by military and criminal justice personnel. This effort is supported by National Institute of Justice, U.S. Army Program Executive Office – Soldier, and NIST, who are collaborating to harmonize existing ASTM body armor standards, especially test methods, where practical.
