Big Soda following the lead of Big Tobacco

Texas Beverage Association Senior Vice President Katherine McLane asserted in an op-ed in this newspaper Feb. 28 that science does not support a tight link between soda and obesity and diabetes . Her commentary is an example of how Big Soda ignores a mountain of scientific evidence in the same way that Big Tobacco played dumb for decades about cigarettes and lung cancer.
