Delivering geosolutions to organisations worldwide A vacancy has arisen for a GIS Geographical Information Systems Support Operations Analyst with InfoterraAstrium GEO Information Systems in Farnborough. This position sits within the Hosting Team, which is part of the Geo Turnkey Solutions Department. The successful candidate will be involved in a variety of different projects, with the potential to own and develop processes. The key responsibilities of the role are as follows To undertake technical work within the framework of current and future projects Take ownership of data management processes To ensure that Hosted Services Business and project requirements and commitments are managed and delivered on time. These include the management of data received from and despatched to, predominantly, Central Government clients. To provide 2nd.3rd tier technical support to both internal and external project customers To actively promote quality management in projects and work within the scope and guidelines of Astrium GEOs BMS Other tasks as directed The successful candidate will demonstrate the following skills and experience A good understanding of GI Concepts ideally with a degree that includes study of GI A good understanding of Data Conversion A good understanding and experience of Data Management Workflows and Cataloguing Experience of GIS Software, GIS Data Formats and Coordinate Systems Ability to problemsolve Attention to detail Knowledge experience in databases, SQL, ETL FMW, Linux Environment is desirable TO APPLY click here
