At 4 GHz, CMD231 wideband GaAs monolithic microwave integrated circuit (MMIC) driver amplifier delivers >14.5 dB gain with corresponding output 1 dB compression point of +13.5 dBm and output IP3 of 23.5 dBm. Unit operates from +3 to +6 V supply and has 50 Ω matched design. Latter eliminates need for external DC blocks and RF port matching while also offering full passivation. Areas of use include communications systems requiring small size and high linearity.
