Cities and towns throughout Massachusetts can now tap into a state bulk-purchasing trust fund to buy the overdose-reversing drug naloxone at a discount. “The use of naloxone has saved lives across Massachusetts, and is one of our state's greatest success stories in the fight against the opioid epidemic,” Department of Public Health Commissioner Monica Bharel said in a statement Wednesday.
