Australian Broadcasting Corporation: While some are calling the current depressed state of the coal market "the end of coal", a new study has revealed it is actually undergoing a renaissance. In fact, global coal consumption has risen dramatically in the past decade according to the paper, published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences of the United States.
