Groundwork Jacksonville, under newly appointed CEO Dawn Emeric k, is leading a public workshop Monday and Tuesday to develop consensus around a conceptual plan to link the neighborhoods of Springfield and Eastside to the Hogans Creek Greenway through the S-Line Rail Trail. The 4.8-mile stretch of abandoned CSX railway is owned by the City of Jacksonville, which is going to bid out work on the trail's reconstruction sometime later this summer.
