Trading at Cambria, the Swindon-based franchised motor retailer, was "substantially ahead" in the five months to the end of February compared to the same period a year ago, the firm has said. The fast-growing group, which last year bought TH White's Royal Wootton Bassett Land Rover dealership for 7.56m, clocked up a 3.8% increase in new vehicle sales while also achieving a 4.3% rise in used car sales.

TRENTON - Six employees of a now-defunct used car dealership have been charged in a bank financing scam that allegedly netted $1.4 million in fraudulent loans for luxury cars. Acting Attorney General John J. Hoffman and the Office of the Insurance Fraud Prosecutor announced yesterday that the owner of the dealership, D.I.B. Leasing in Teterboro, along with three employees and a bookkeeper, have been charged with conspiracy, money laundering and other offenses.

Virginia auto dealer group sues Tesla to stop second store in state

The VADA claims in the suit filed in circuit court in Fairfax County, Virginia, that Tesla and the state's Department of Motor Vehicles commissioner, Richard D. Holcomb, are violating a 2013 agreement that Tesla could not consider owning and operating a second dealership in Virginia until at least August 2017. Tesla has a dealership in Tysons Corner in the relatively affluent area of northern Virginia near Washington, D.C., which opened in February 2015.
