Digital Content Designer Six month internship

Primary role purpose We are currently presenting an exciting and unique opportunity as a Digital Content Designer as a six month internship to start as soon as possible. In this role you will have the opportunity to gain invaluable experience working alongside the eLearning Developer to support the eLearning strategy. You will also have the opportunity to work alongside our team of classroombased technical trainers, to support our customer facing training strategy with a program of eLearning. Key Responsibilities Responsibility for working with the eLearning developer to create engaging and effective elearning and video content using the latest industry rapidauthoring and presentation tools. The individual will have basic skills in presentation design, instructional design and or rapidauthoring software skills. They will also have a keen eye for design and attention for detail, and be excited about creating effective courses on technical subjects, developing relationships with colleagues throughout the business in order to ensure the integrity of the content. Responsibility for making eLearning available to our employees and customers through our Learning Management System LMS, including the administration of learners, courses and reporting. The individual will have a keen interest in technology and will be active in learning about and applying the latest developments in learning technologies, to ensure the use of cuttingedge delivery methods remote learning, mobile learning, social media etc.. The individual will have excellent communication skills to help create easytounderstand modules. The individual will have a keen eye for detail and design, and would enjoy taking a document and converting it into engaging, visually stimulating eLearning content. The individual will need to be able to problem solve and enjoy feeling challenged. The individual will be responsible for supporting the development of eLearning, aimed at different audiences such as Sales and Customer Services in liaison with Inmarsat Training Academy. The individual will design and develop eLearning based on Inmarsats needs and provide evaluation at the end of eLearning programmes. The individual will be conducting and updating courses on Products MSS, Systems Business Support Systems, Manufacturer and Inmarsat Valueadded services and ensuring all content is uptodate and in line with our corporate objectives and insuring other areas of the business are aware of these processes. This role will allow the individual to demonstrate and challenge their technical knowledge whilst using their creative skills to design effective and engaging learning experiences. Essential Knowledge and Skills The successful candidate must have knowledge of rapidauthoring software including Articulate Storyline Studio, Techsmith Camtasia, Adobe Captivate. A good understanding of Presentation tools such as, Microsoft PowerPoint, Prezi, Videoscribe, videoediting tools such as Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premier, Adobe After Effects and graphic design tools such as Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator. Experience in the administration of a Learning Management system, such as Moodle or Absorb LMS. Confident in exporting information from a large database and manipulating complex data into meaningful reports using tools such as Microsoft Excel. Must enjoy a challenging work environment that requires significant flexibility, selfdirection, and creativity, strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent organization, time management, and attention to detail skills, ability to effectively meet deadlines. The individual must be able to work effectively as part of a team and independently. The individual should enjoy working with a variety of stakeholders and subjectmatter experts, providing technical and sales solutions, and build rapport along the way. The individual can quickly understand the key level of data requried. A keen eye for design and enjoy creating content that is aesthetically pleasing. A good understanding of how to implement the training life cycle, particularly within the training environment. Creative, enthusiastic individual, who enjoys problem solving and sees an opportunity in any situation. Operate under your own initiative, and take responsibility for getting things done. Highly skilled in instructional design, graphic design and presentation design. Desirable Knowledge and Skills Experience of working within a Satellite Telcommunications environment. Experience of working alongside technical Subject Matter Experts. Video production skills including teleprompter, lighting and Chroma key filming. Audio editing skills including script writing and editing and producing narration. The internship should start in November 2013 and last up to 9 months. Based in Luxembourg and within the frame of a project recently awarded to SES by a major European Institution, you will contribute to support tasks and other project activities, by providing assistance in the project management and related activities that will strengthen the developments of the study. Responsibilities In coordination with the Project Manager, the trainee will have the following responsibilities Assist in the planning, preparation and implementation duties of coordinating and organizing the project and related events including internal and external meetings Organizing workshops by preparing agendas, logistics and drafting presentations for use of further investigation and discussions Collect the results and follow up to ensure these are exploited in further deliverables Preparing monthly progress report Maintain and update project database to ensure all documents are properly recorded and traceable Depending on the need conduct extensive research and record data in order to substantiate certain tasks or deliverables, particularly focusing on market research and lead users of relevance.
