Defining the mission planning operational implementation rules, database configuration, etc. and maintaining a detailed understanding of the space and ground segment operational needs that are met through mission planning. Updating and rolling out of new versions of the mission planning operational implementation following approved configuration management procedures. Maintaining mission planning documentation such as the user guide, operational implementation document, joint operations document, ICDs, and any other operational documentation. Supporting the Operations Preparation Integrated Team OPIT in the development and procurement of the mission planning application software and any related tools developing missions only. Participating in reviews concerning the mission planning system, interfacing facilities and associated tools, throughout the procurement lifecycle developing missions only Contributing to the definition of any changes to the supplied mission planning application software or to inhouse supporting software that could lead to performance andor ergonomics improvements. Contributing to the process of implementing such changes by raising of engineering change proposals and change requests internally within Client. Participating in the installation of the mission planning application software and related tools at Client if required. Verifying the installation. Contributing to the operational validation of new versions of the mission planning software, including testing of ARNCR correction, new functionality and nonregression. This may include participating in factory or onsite acceptance testing and related activities at facility and system level. If necessary, creating and executing test procedures to support this activity. Analysing reporting on test results, in particular with respect to requirement verification and validation. Training of personnel in mission planning, oncall and routine scheduling tasks. Performing routine scheduling tasks at the BUCC in support of periodic or emergency activations.

YOUR TASKS The service to be provided covers mission planning support to operational missions EPS, Sentinel3, MSG, and developing missions EPSSG, Sentinel6, MTG. The Contractor team shall be involved in mission planning operations for all missions, both operational and developing. Concerning the developing missions, the Contractor shall support the transition from the preoperational to the routine operations phase, during which more intense development of operational processes and system configuration will be required. The implementation of any of the tasks described in this SOW may require shift working from time to time, due to the nature of the operations. Any shift work will be agreed on an adhoc basis. Project Planning Engineer 1913044 Job Description We are looking for a Project Planning Engineer to support our activities with our customer EUMETSAT. The selected engineer will provide hisher experience in the area of system planning or ground segment level planning and scheduling during Phases CD of ongoing programmes, as well as support other future LEO programmes. The selected engineer will focus on defining and maintaining the system development logic, schedule and all subsystem interactions, covering the space segment satellite and instruments, ground segment, satellite application facilities, launcher service and LEOP service, as well as the corresponding operations preparation activities. The Role We require two engineers with experience of Mission Planning gained through the operations or development of satellite systems. One post will focus on LowEarth Orbit, the other on geostationary satellites. You will manage Mission Planning for routine and special operations, and oversee and contribute to the lifecycle of evolutions as we track improvements and upgrades. You will have the opportunity to work with mission partners, such as ESA, CNES, NOAA and NASA to coordinate mission planning and implement crosssupport agreements. Working with other operations teams at EUMETSAT, you will enhance our understanding of the operational needs of all space and ground segments required for Mission Planning and help us to define and implement costeffective solutions.
