Chad Wieder, 33, of Brodheadsville, is behind bars and facing child pornography charges after he was discovered using his neighbor's unsecured wireless Internet to download child pornography. The investigation began early last month when detectives from the Monroe County District Attorney's Office discovered a computer on a peer-to-peer file sharing network downloading and offering to share child pornography.

F.N.B. acquiring Metro Bancorp; FirstEnergy nuclear operator cited; ATM fixing case advances

F.N.B. Corp. said it will acquire Harrisburg-based Metro Bancorp in a $474 million deal that will give the Hermitage bank 32 branches in Central Pennsylvania. Shareholders of Metro will receive 2.37 shares of F.N.B. stock for each of their shares.

U.S. Producers File Cold-Rolled Trade Case

Five U.S. producers of cold-rolled steel have filed antidumping and countervailing duty petitions against eight countries. The antidumping petitions charge that unfairly traded imports of cold-rolled steel from Brazil, China, India, Japan, South Korea, the Netherlands, Russia and the United Kingdom are causing material injury to the domestic industry.

San Bruno: PG&E asks court to toss out some charges in explosion criminal case

PG&E has asked a federal judge to dismiss seven of the 28 counts that government prosecutors filed against the utility for its role in causing a fatal explosion of natural gas in San Bruno, and the court in the case says it will consider PG&E's request. Separately, San Francisco-based PG&E announced on Tuesday a sale of its stock to help pay for penalties imposed on it by state regulators.
