Using Freedom Digital Interface with integral MTConnect adapter, shops with legacy equipment that do not have Ethernet ports can monitor machine tool performance using Freedom eLOG or other MTConnect monitoring software. Self-contained, DIN rail-mounted assembly has eight 24 Vdc or 120 Vac digital inputs and two 0–10 Vdc analog inputs, each configurable by user based on specific use. Onboard adapter outputs SHDR signal to user’s MTConnect agent.
