Thousands of Utahns could have been exposed to hepatitis C

The Utah health department says thousands of hospital patients could have been exposed to hepatitis C through a former nurse who was fired for tampering with syringes or other equipment to steal medications. The Deseret News reports that the former McKay-Dee Hospital nurse and a patient tested positive for the same strand of the virus.
