By calculating position, velocity, and time on-chip, Model BCM47748 removes bulk of signal processing from device MCU. Chip uses intelligent firmware to extend battery life while also maintaining accuracy in speed, distance, and position for optimized user experience. Housed in 70-ball WLBGA package with 0.4 mm ball pitch, device can produce GNSS fixes with only 5 mA current consumption in certain scenarios. Additional features include geofencing and lifelogging capabilities.
