This site is primarily responsible for manufacturing space propulsion systems and satellite subsystems for telecommunications, navigation and Earth observation, for example satellite attitude control systems and solar arrays. Job Description For our client we are looking for a Global Navigation Satellite Services Signal Evolution Engineer for their location near Munich, Germany. Tasks and Responsibilities Support the deployment and evolution of the Galileo system and the evolution of EGNOS on navigation signal related aspects Contribute to new ideas and applications related to satellite navigation on navigation signal related aspects Support the evolution of system and segment level SignalInSpace requirements Support the definition and development of new tools for signal performance analysis Define, perform and report design and verification analysis on signal performance aspects like on receiver tracking and PVT navigation message authentication system and user integrity signal distortions system performance budgets Operate tools and support the upgrade of tools for signal performance analysis Perform autonomous analysis of complex technical relations and apply to requested tasks Define, plan, conduct and evaluate laboratory experiments to support tradeoffanalysis, interpretation of measurement data evaluation results etc Support the correct implementation and verification of SIS requirements at segment and element level like for satellites, ground segment, signal generators, users, etc. Support system engineering activities related to SIS engineering, for instance maintenance of SISICD requirements in DOORS maintenance of verification control documentation Presentation of the achieved results in front of national and international customers, industrial partners, technical meetings, symposia and conferences. Requirements At least a Bachelor Degree in CommunicationsElectrical Engineering Profound knowledge of GNSS signal aspects especially concerning signal performance aspects and receiver processing and tracking performance is required Solid experience in the analysis and usage of satellite navigation signals especially on signal performance aspects and navigation receiver processing and tracking algorithms and performances is required Profound knowledge of digital signal processing CDMA signals, numeric simulations analysis,encoding techniques and channel models is required Experience in rapid and clean engineering software generation and usage MATLAB andor CC is required Experience in measurement data analysis and laboratory experimentation is required Fluent English German is considered an advantage Flexibility to work in in different European locations colocated with our partners Demonstrated ability to analyze complex technical problems and define innovative solutions. Position Reference 044 RHEA Group is currently recruiting GNSS Experts to guide and coordinate the Engineering Design and Development Phase EDDP of an important Satellite CommunicationGNSS Programme. The main roles we are looking for are the following Space Segment Authority The Space Segment Authority will be responsible for ensuring that the Space Segment Contract is performing and delivering, and that the space segment is correctly and coherently integrating into the Ground Control Segment and at the system level. The Space Segment Authority will also be the lead for Launch and dispenser activities, concepts, proposals, interfaces and specifications. In addition, the space segment Authority is expected to have a role in technical risk management and to oversee any technical aspects of the space architecture including supporting the development of system and subsystem engineering test beds. System Engineer The System Engineer will be responsible for the technical delivery of the system architecture, ensuring the System Engineering Support Contractor is performing and delivering the required tasks, ensuring that all segments are brought together correctly and coherently including all the other segments. Ground Segment Authority This role is the lead technical for the Ground Control Segment, and is expected to be a point of contact for all technical matters on the ground segment. You will be ensuring that the Ground Segment activities are delivered and that the Ground Segment architecture is sufficiently advanced so that the industry is able to bid for construction in a follow on Implementation Phase. Skills and Experience The following skills and experience are mandatory You have a Bachelors or Masters Degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Aeronautical, Communications Engineering technical, Physics, or similar. You possess an active SC clearance, willing to undertake DV clearance You have a good knowledge of GNSS theory and practice You have at least 5 years of demonstrated engineering leading experience in the relevant segment Ground Segment, Space Segment or System Engineering. You have knowledge of ECSS framework. You have experience, knowledge and understanding of the Enterprise Architect and DOORS tools You have experience with requirements and interface management, risk management, change boards and change board environment. You have excellent verbal and written communications skills as well as organisational skills.
