Telenor names new CEOs in Pakistan and Bulgaria

(Telecompaper) Telenor Group said it has appointed Michael Foley as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Telenor Bulgaria and Irfan Wahab Khan as CEO of Telenor Pakistan, with effect from 01 August 2016. Foley joined Telenor in July 2014 when he was appointed CEO of Telenor Pakistan. Khan moves up from the position of deputy CEO and chief marketing officer (CMO) at Telenor Pakistan.

Telenor Pakistan to pay USD 395 mln for 4G licence

(Telecompaper) Telenor has been granted the licence for 4G spectrum in the 850 MHz band after being the only bidder, the Pakistan Observer reported, citing the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA). Telenor's bid was evaluated and found to be complete in all respects. The licence will be awarded to Telenor at the base price of USD 395 million, in accordance with the schedule.
