LSE Space is looking for an Engineer mf fulfilling the task of Spacecraft Operations Engineering ExoMars to support the Solar and Planetary Missions Division at ESOC in Darmstadt. The main areas of responsibility for this service are the platform subsystems TTC, Communications and Data Relay and preparation, validation and maintenance of the internal and external interfaces for Mars data relay operations. Required qualifications and work experience Previous experience in spacecraft platform subsystem operations Operational experience with interplanetary missions Understanding of Flight Control Team tasks and responsibilities pre and postlaunch Fluency in English, both in speech and writing Ability to coordinate and interact with other service providers in operations and other fields. Ability to work independently with little or no supervision. Strong educational background in engineering or science Handson experience with ground systems and facilities required to support spacecraft operations Familiarity with the ESOC environment Operational experience with TTC subsystems, data relay indirect operations concepts Previous experience with mission planning processes The ability to multitask efficiently working on multiple activities, multiple subsystems and if applicable multiple missions simultaneously. A University Degree in Aerospace Engineering or in an equivalent discipline. Location The position will be based in Darmstadt Germany and will require some travel to within Europe.
