Chagrin Falls inks new deal to bring Heinen's to village

A decade-old lease agreement between the village and a downtown shopping plaza has been amended to assure enough customer parking to satisfy a demand by Heinen's Fine Foods. The village has been without a grocer since 2014, when the Pittsburgh-based Giant Eagle chain announced it was closing its store in the plaza because customers expressed a desire for a broader shopping experience.

Shinola plans store in Highland Park Village

Shinola, which is opening a store in Highland Park Village on Friday, gets credit for creating a new spin on retailing. The store sells a collection of American luxury brands, from baseball gloves made in Nocona, to its own Shinola watches assembled in Detroit and hand-molded frame bikes made in Wisconsin.
