Fossil Group, Inc. announced that it has completed, effective December 22, 2015, the previously announced acquisition of Misfit, Inc. for $236.0 million, which included an estimated working capital reduction adjustment of approximately $7.0 million, and does not include approximately $7.0 million of payments with respect to unvested equity awards. The purchase price is subject to a further post-closing working capital true up.

Watchmaker Fossil Group has agreed to acquire Misfit, a wearable fitness tracker producer based in the US and Vietnam, for US$260 million. Vietnamese-American Sonny Vu, co-founder and CEO of Misfit, said in a statement: "We are thrilled to join forces with Fossil Group to usher in the next era of wearables where elegance, beauty and long-lasting wearability are paramount."

(Telecompaper) The Fossil Group has agreed to acquire Misfit, a maker of wearable and smart home products, for USD 260 million, the Wall Street Journal reported. The Fossil Group said it will start integrating Misfit technology into products resembling traditional watches as early as next year. Sonny Vu, the CEO and co-founder of Misfit, will become the president and CTO of connected devices for the Fossil Group when the deal completes, expected before the end of the year.
