"Old Paper New Paint" features new work from Portland artist Paul Schaap. Old maps and natural, historical, and religious imagery are combined with marbled papers, anatomical illustrations, and contemporary packaging. Elements are layered and developed by applications of paint sprayed over various objects that serve as stencils to create colorful and complex works.
