11.05: Carrie Brownstein in Conversation with Tig Notaro
2024-12-11 07:10:09| Powells Books Events Calendar
Before Carrie Brownstein codeveloped and starred in Portlandia, she was already an icon to young women as a musician in the feminist punk band Sleater-Kinney. Her memoir, Hunger Makes Me a Modern Girl (Riverhead), is a candid, funny, and deeply personal look at making a life — and finding yourself — in music. Brownstein will be joined for an evening of conversation by Tig Notaro, Grammy-nominated comedian, actress, and star of the documentary feature Tig. Please note: Tickets for this event, $37.95, include admission and a copy of Hunger Makes Me a Modern Girl and are available at the Portland'5 box office, all TicketsWest outlets, online at Portland5.com, or by phone at 800.273.1530. Books will be distributed at the event.
