Christopher "Black" Adams is a Corvallis-based illustrator and printmaker. His work speaks to a lifelong interest in the natural world and a childhood in the Pacific Northwest. There is also an obvious love of words, a keen interest in absurdity, and a multifarious appreciation of past figures in art, literature, philosophy, and politics. All of the work in the Esoteric Animal Alphabet is hand screen printed from digital illustration using photo-polymer emulsion techniques.
