3 UK, Italy deploy Shine network-based ad blocking

(Telecompaper) Hutchison announced that its subsidiaries 3 UK and 3 Italia have deployed network-based ad blocking software from Shine Technologies. The company said it was working with Shine to give customers more control, choice and greater transparency over what they receive, rather than an effort to completely eliminate mobile advertising. Hutchison plans to roll out Shine's software to all other 3 Group operators.
