When Amega West closes its Tyler facility in the next couple of months, 60 employees will lose their jobs, officials confirmed. William J. Rudolph, Jr., director of corporate communications for Amega West's parent company, Carpenter Technology Corporation, confirmed that the local facility will close permanently sometime between April 21 and May 5. "Approximately 60 employees are impacted by the closure, which was prompted by current business conditions and the need to centralize our operations to improve efficiencies," Rudolph said last week in an email.
