$9 million settlement in A&P sharehold suit approved

A federal judge in Newark has given preliminary approval to a $9 million settlement in a class action lawsuit that accused former executives of the A&P supermarket chain of misleading investors about the financial health of the company before it filed for bankruptcy in December 2010.
