After adding 2.3 million subscribers in 2015 a number of investors were left scratching their heads when Sirius XM Holdings issued guidance for only 1.4 million net additions for 2016. Even though Sirius management has long professed its proclivity to issue conservative guidance, the decline of 40% seems excessive at first glance.
