f you didnt get a chance to read the entire report from a United Nations panel warning of dire consequences to our very existence if governments do not step up their efforts to temper the pace of climate change, this article from The New York Times expertly sums it up. The report says that we are in deep trouble and it's only a matter of time before the consequences worsen, but we do have a short window of opportunity to head off the worst.
With that unsettling news in mind, we were exultant to hear that NAFA and CALSTART are teaming to develop a Sustainable Fleet Standard Program. Considering the enormous impact fleets can make in this arena, we applaud this important step.
And speaking of importance, lets hear it for Florida Power & Light, for whom NAFA president Claude Masters is Fleet Services Manager. On April 2nd, FPL was presented with the EPAs Clean Air Excellence Award for 2014. Congratulations!
