Supported by work undertaken by Commercial Aviation Alternative Fuels Initiative®, ASTM International approved addition of bio-derived jet fuel annex to alternative jet fuel specification D7566. Annex details fuel properties and criteria necessary to control manufacture and quality of this new fuel, referred to as Synthesized Iso-Paraffinic fuel, which is produced from hydroprocessed fermented sugars.
