At press conference on Capitol Hill, AED 2014 Chairman Tim Watters said that federal highway program crisis threatens to take human and economic toll on construction equipment industry. Watters specifically cited looming collapse as threatening 4,000 jobs at construction equipment dealerships tied to road and bridge work and 700,000 jobs in broader construction industry. "Give us a highway bill. And give us the infrastructure the U.S. economy needs to function," Watters concluded.
