In her statement supporting new aircraft repair station security rule published by U.S. Transportation Security Administration (TSA), AIA President and CEO Marion C. Blakey commended actions taken to "balance the requirements to bolster security while also opening up new maintenance and repair options for airlines and industry." This is in light of, according to Blakey, a "log jam" which prevented 80+ repair stations from receiving certification review by FAA.<br />
