U.S. Senator Rob Portman (R-OH) has been named recipient of the 2015 Automatic Identification Technology Award. Created in 2013, award is presented to an individual, committee, group, or organization from the government sector that has championed successful use of automatic identification technology within local, state, or national government. In selecting Senator Portman, AIT Alliance cited his commitment to promoting use of automatic identification technologies in the Department of Defense.
