Weston Tew, Ph.D., a staff physicist at the NIST in Gaithersburg, MD, has received the ASTM International Award of Merit. ASTM Committee E20 on Temperature Measurement presented the award to Tew in honor of his exemplary leadership and contributions to the development of industry standards. A member of ASTM since 1997, Tew chairs the Fundamentals in Thermometry Subcommittee and previously chaired the Subcommittee on New Thermometers and Techniques for several years.
